Lenore Thomas

Associate Professor

Lenore Thomas is a mixed-media artist whose current prints and paintings explore abstract forms that layer upon each other to create imagery suggestive of landscape. She is simultaneously interested in the flatness generated by color and the sense of space and perspective created by the abstracted forms. Her work has been presented in group and solo exhibitions at venues such as Markel Fine Arts in New York City; Fresh Paint in Culver City, California; The National Academy in New York City, New York; and Penang State Art Gallery in Penang, Malaysia. She is currently represented by Cumberland Gallery in Nashville, Tennessee. She has been a resident fellow at the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vermont, Anchor Graphics in Chicago, Illinois and the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in Omaha, Nebraska.
