Studio Arts Major Nola Mims Participates in Brew House Association Exhibit

Join Brew House Association in celebrating the opening weekend of a new exhibit, Roots Run Deep: A Contemporary Survey of African American Hair Culture, which includes work by Studio Arts major Nola Mims.

Timed tickets are available for the opening on Friday, January 22, and the exhibition will remain open through March 6th with un-ticketed general admission on select days.

Scott Turri's Animation Selected for Vastlab Experimental Film Festival

Scott Turri’s animation 'Solastalgia' was selected for the 2020 Vastlab Experimental Film Festival. Screenings take place December 17–20 from 7-9:30pm PST. Hear a Q&A about his work and more information about the festival.

December 2020 Graduation

On Sunday, December 6, the University of Pittsburgh recognized the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences and the College of General Studies August Class of 2020 and December Class of 2020. Congratulations to Nathan Barker-English, Alexandra Park McDonough, and Alice Zhao who graduated from the Department of Studio Arts!

Scott Turri's Animation Selected by Pantalla Rota

Scott Turri’s animation the Longing Ritual was selected by Pantalla Rota (Broken Screen) for a series of exhibitions that will be held in a number of cultural venues in Argentina in 2020 and 2021.
